SENDCO and Inclusion Manager: Rose Sanderson
At Bredbury Green Primary School, we pride ourselves on our inclusive approach to learning. Our unique curriculum is designed around celebrating each child’s individuality and helping all children to reach their full potential. Through a ‘Quality First Teaching’ approach, our dedicated teachers and support staff, allow each child to flourish, develop and lead their own learning pathway. We aim to work together with families to ensure that children with SEND are identified at the earliest opportunity and they are subsequently supported appropriately according to their individual needs.
We have a clear, graduated approach to SEND whereby children identified as requiring interventions, beyond quality first teaching, are provided with an individual provision map (IPM) based on their individual needs. Teachers discuss this process with parents and carers at regular points during the academic year based on a ‘Plan, Do, Review’ cycle.
