25th February 2025
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you all had a good week. As usual, the children have settled back into school routines beautifully and are all displaying excellent learning behaviours. In my assembly yesterday we discussed one of our connected concepts: appreciation. We explored how we appreciate each others’ values and beliefs whilst also appreciating achievements. It was amazing to hear that even our younger KS1 children understand that in a community everyone should be valued equally for the part they play.
Events for this term were sent out to you in January, just a few reminders below:

All parents are invited to attend to see a ‘live’ lesson. These have previously been focused on English or Maths so for this one I have asked teachers to teach a wider curriculum subject such as history, art, music etc. It is so good to see children excelling in a range of subjects here at Bredbury Green and for you to see the breadth of subjects that children learn.
World Book Week
Next week, we will be promoting reading as part of our World Book Week celebrations. Our English staff team will be sending you something shortly about the various events during the week. However, on Thursday 6th March for World Book Day, children can come dressed as a book character or for those who are not keen they can come in ‘comfy’ clothes ready to read. Our book fair will be open after school Monday – Wednesday to purchase new or favourite books. Please support this if you can as a percentage comes to school to enable us to purchase new books for the children.
I look forward to seeing you at events next week!
Kind regards,
Helen Moorcroft
