Emma Marsden-Edwards Chair of Governors and Parent Governor
My name is Emma Marsden-Edwards and I was elected to the Governing body in 2018 as a parent Governor and have been the Chair Of Governors since 2019. Over this time, the governing body has significantly evolved, and I now lead an accountable team with a robust oversight of school priorities and the school’s development plan. We work to ensure Bredbury Green stays on course to become an outstanding school that continues to support the needs of our pupils and local community.
I have worked in the life science industry for over 20 years. With an enthusiasm for science, I obtained a PhD in Analytical Chemistry/Mass Spectrometry from the University of York and worked as a scientist before moving into more commercial roles. I am currently a Principal Product Manager for the SELECT SERIES of mass spectrometers at Waters Corporation. I enjoy sharing my love of Science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) through science busking and other outreach activities.
